The price of a barrel of Brent oil sold in March on the London ICE exchange exceeded $87, which was last recorded in October 2014.

At 5:51 am Moscow time, fuel was trading at $87.29 per barrel, up 1.4%. Texas WTI for February delivery rose $84.94 by 5:56 am Moscow time, adding 1.3%.

Recall that at the end of December last year, the price of oil fell to $75 after rising. The reason for the fall in oil prices was the spread of the Omicron coronavirus strain.
