Almaty airport resumed work

Air Astana has restored its route network after interruptions, in addition, the carrier has revised the rules for ticket refunds. So, if the flight was scheduled before January 31, 2022, then a free ticket reissuance for any date before February 28 or a full refund is possible.

- It is necessary to issue a refund and rebook tickets no later than 24 hours before the original departure date, the airline said.

Recall that at midnight on January 19, the period of the state of emergency introduced in the republic on January 5 expired.

Earlier it was reported that from January 14, regular flights from Moscow to Alma-Ata and back were restored. On January 10, flights to the Kazakh capital Nur-Sultan were resumed. On January 15, flights to Aktobe began, and on January 16 - to Karaganda.

In the first days of January 2022, protests began in Kazakhstan. The reason was a two-fold increase in prices for liquefied gas at filling stations. Later, the discontent of citizens spread to the streets of many cities. There were armed people among the protesters, bloodshed, assaults and arson of administrative buildings began.
