According to Gazeta.uz , on the afternoon of January 25, electricity was cut off in Tashkent and a number of other cities of Uzbekistan. Mobile communication continues to work. According to sources of the publication, a major accident occurred in the country's energy system. At 09:35 Moscow time, the subway did not work in Tashkent.

In turn, in Bishkek, due to the lack of electricity, pumping stations have been turned off, and water supply is not working throughout the city. There is also no electricity in the city of Osh and in the Chui region, AKIpress reports.

In Kazakhstan, residents of Alma-Ata, Zhambyl and Turkestan regions complained about the blackouts, Tengrinews reports. In Alma-Ata, traffic lights stopped working on the streets, traffic jams on the roads. The akimat indicated that the causes of the incident are being investigated.
