A case was opened against Znamensk officials due to dog attacks on people

According to RIA Novosti, referring to the Prosecutor General's Office, a negligence case was opened against the officials.

It's worth reminding that in the Astrakhan region, the problem of attacks by stray dogs on people is very acute. In January, dogs killed a local resident on his way to work; in February, dogs attacked two girls in Astrakhan.

Last summer, the Investigative Committee for the region opened a criminal case on the fact of the negligence of officials of the Astrakhan administration after the attack of dogs on passers-by.

In January, deputies from the Astrakhan Regional Duma submitted a proposal to the government to amend the federal law "On Responsible Treatment of Animals" to allow the killing of aggressive stray dogs.
