Representatives of Luhansk,said that the Ukrainian military fired on the LPR from prohibited weapons

The military forces of Ukraine on the morning of Thursday, February 17, opened fire four times on the territory of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic, the LPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire Regime (JCCC) said.

They clarified that the fire was fired, including from mortars, which are prohibited by the Minsk agreements.

According to the JCCC, the first shelling began today at 5:30 Moscow time. The Ukrainian security forces also fired from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

In particular, the republic-controlled settlements of Sokolniki, Zolote-5, Veselenkoe and Nizhnee Lozovoye were shelled.

It's worth reminding that in the Donbass last year, additional measures to ensure a truce came into force, which involve a complete ceasefire, as well as the deployment of weapons in and around settlements. Disciplinary liability is provided for violations of the regime. Earlier, the OSCE reported numerous ceasefire violations in the Donbass.
