About 25 thousand refugees from the LPR arrived in Russia

Over the night of February 18-19, about 25,000 residents of the unrecognized Luhansk Republic crossed the border with Russia. More than 6.5 thousand people left the DPR for the Russian Federation, about 2.5 thousand of whom are children.

People are being evacuated by buses and trains to the Rostov region. Recall that earlier the region received 5 billion rubles from the budget. for payments to refugees. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the payment of 10,000 rubles to each refugee.

Acting head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Chupriyan instructed to determine which other regions are ready to receive evacuees. Also, the Orenburg region and Yakutia announced their readiness to accept refugees.

Today, the head of the self-proclaimed DPR, Denis Pushilin, called on the men of the republic to come to the military commissariats. On February 19, he signed the order for general mobilization.
