The Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the resignation of Dariga Nazarbayeva

The Mazhilis (the lower house of the Kazakh Parliament) approved the resignation of Deputy Dariga Nazarbayeva. The parliamentarians made such a decision on March 2, 2022 as part of the plenary session, 360tv.ru reports, citing RIA Novosti.

On February 25, 2022, Dariga Nazarbayeva submitted an application for resignation, after which the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan submitted a submission to the lower house of parliament, for which the deputies cast their votes.

At the end of February 2022, Nazarbayeva announced that she planned to focus on social, humanitarian, cultural and charitable activities. Dariga Nazarbayeva is the eldest daughter of the ex-President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
