Social networks reported a leak of the Sberbank database with card numbers

In particular, the following message appeared in the telegram channel Unusual Crimes Barnaul: “The base has been merged. But this base is for the period 2018-2020, where most cards have already changed CVV-codes (the life of a card is on average 3-4 years). Secondly, oddly enough, Sberbank and its cards are among the best in the banking sector in terms of reliability”.

At the same time, channel subscribers were told that if attackers get the card numbers with the necessary data, then they still will not be able to make almost any purchases without SMS-confirmation.

Readers of Novy Izvestiya shared messages that come directly to them. The mailing list warns: “Go to Sberbank online, write in the search box - “limits and restrictions on the card”, select “purchases on the Internet”, and turn off purchases on the Internet on all your cards without confirming the SMS-code. The facts of unauthorized debiting of money have been officially confirmed. Promptly convey this information to employees and workers".
