This was stated by Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in an interview with Reuters. He added that such restrictions would significantly affect the stability of the Bulgarian economy.
"Bulgaria fully supports all the measures taken, but from these two (restrictions on oil and gas - ed.), we will probably ask for exceptions. We have no alternatives now, we are too dependent", - he said.
It's worth reminding that a number of European countries are 90-100% dependent on Russian gas. European experts warn that the refusal to supply threatens with a serious shortage of resources next winter.
In addition, the refusal to supply energy resources from the Russian Federation will lead to a huge increase in gas prices. Even now, the cost of the resource in Europe has almost reached four thousand dollars per thousand cubic meters, while back in February the average price did not exceed one thousand dollars.
