President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky (pictured) signed the law "On the main principles for the forced seizure in Ukraine of objects of property rights of the Russian Federation and its residents". Forced withdrawal will be carried out without compensation.

“According to the law, the forced seizure in Ukraine of objects of the property rights of the Russian Federation and its residents is carried out without any compensation for their value, given the full-scale aggressive war that the Russian Federation has unleashed and is waging against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people”, - the Ukrainian parliament said in a statement.

This law provides for the nationalization of property and financial resources of Russian legal entities on the territory of Ukraine. The country's government is already preparing a list of objects subject to compulsory seizure. It is noted that the decision will be made by the National Security and Defense Council at the request of the government.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military special operation of the Russian Federation to protect Donbass. The head of state announced the need to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. On March 3, the Verkhovna Rada approved the law on the nationalization of Russian property in Ukraine. The initiative was initiated by ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. On the same day, the Ukrainian Parliament approved presidential decree on general mobilization.
