This is reported with reference to the British media. Although the Isle of Man is a British Crown Dependency, it has its own Parliament. In addition, this is an offshore zone, and therefore the island is especially popular with Russian businessmen - they register their planes there, among other things. Now, however, at least seven Russian-owned aircraft are undergoing deregistration.
The island's aircraft registry was created by its government back in 2007, and all of them receive the prefix "M" when registering. The cancellation or loss of registration of M-IABU by the Airbus A340-300 aircraft, which is formally owned by Global Jet, but in fact belongs to Usmanov, is by far the loudest of such events.
Sources say that this aircraft also has its own name Bourkhan - in honor of Usmanov's father, and the last three letters of his tail number M-IABU "deciphered" as follows: I Alisher Bourkhanovich Usmanov. It is also reported that this aircraft is currently in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent.
It's worth reminding that the Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov was included in the list of citizens of the Russian Federation against whom personal sanctions were imposed due to Russia's special operation in Ukraine. Usmanov's super-yacht has already been arrested, as well as his mansions in England and Italy.
