Due to the devaluation of the ruble, as well as due to an increase in logistics and material costs, Procter & Gamble, a major American manufacturer of household chemicals and hygiene products (brands Ariel, Fairy, Pampers, Gillette, etc.), raised prices for some items by more than 70 %.

On average, the rise in price was 43%.

According to Kommersant, referring to a message from one of the P&G distributors, the price will rise from Tuesday, March 15.

Thus, children's hygiene products will rise in price by 47%, women's - by 33%, health and beauty products - by 67%, hair care - 63%, oral care products - by 58%, shaving - by 65%. %. Powders and other laundry detergents will rise in price by 30%, detergents - by 26%, cleaning products - by 74%.

Recall that earlier the company suspended its investments in the Russian Federation, as did other large companies, such as Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. This decision was made by the leadership against the backdrop of a special operation conducted by Moscow in Ukraine.

At the same time, two P&G plants - in St. Petersburg and Novomoskovsk - continue their regular work, producing 60% of the products sold in the country.

It should be noted that leading foreign companies have already left the Russian market, specifying that their activities are suspended due to a special operation, but will probably be resumed at the end of the conflict. Some companies continue to pay salaries to their Russian employees.
