There should not be "meetings for the sake of meeting", said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Serey Lavrov. In addition, a face-to-face conversation between the two presidents should be held in order to fix concrete agreements, according to Moscow.

On the eve, we recall, the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, who is a member of the Russian delegation at the talks with Ukraine, said that negotiations between Moscow and Kiev could soon develop into a unified position of delegations and the signing of documents.

Earlier, we note, Putin said that he was not against meeting with Zelensky during telephone conversations with the President of Turkey. The Russian leader also reported on the progress in the negotiations at a meeting with the head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.
