The head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, said that the establishment of a no-fly zone over Ukraine would be the beginning of a conflict. In addition, the head of the US military department indicated that the US military would not participate in hostilities with missiles in Ukraine.

"The president has made it clear that our military will not be involved in fighting Russia in Ukraine", - Austin told CNN, adding that a no-fly zone would mean the United States is opposing Russia, "we are talking about two nuclear powers".

“No one wants to see this”, - the head of the Pentagon stressed.

Austin noted that the United States would not interfere with other countries to send planes to Ukraine. Before that, the United States discussed with the European Union the possibility of transferring MiN-29 fighters to Kiev. But later this was abandoned, fearing an escalation.

It's worth reminding that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly asked NATO to establish a flightless he over the country, and Zelensky called the fears of Western countries about the outbreak of the Third World War because of this self-hypnosis.

By the way, Kyiv did not receive all the weapons that Berlin promised him. Moreover, many of the anti-aircraft missiles previously sent by Germany to Ukraine are unusable. Some of them are already outdated. Moreover, in Germany they indicated that more deliveries are not expected.
