Bulgarian sailors and fishermen were warned about the possible appearance of mines in the Black Sea

Some Bulgarian media reported that mines brought by a storm from the coast of Ukraine may appear in the coastal waters of the country.

The Russian-speaking communities in Bulgaria cite an alarming message that appeared in some local media: “If you see spherical objects in the sea, call 112. In connection with the information that several sea mines laid off the coast of Odessa were blown away by a storm and sailed into The Black Sea, posing a threat to ships, the Bulgarian government is taking all necessary measures", - the press service of the Council of Ministers of Bulgaria reports with reference to the online publication Nova Varna.

Interestingly, at the same time, bloggers publish a screen of a letter from the captain of the Seaport of Sochi Rumyantsev, who, in turn, warns captains of Russian ships and shipowners of the same danger.

Danger for navigation are mines, which during a storm (and the Black Sea has been stormy for the last two weeks) come off and drift with the flow. It is known that the current in the Black Sea is circular, it goes from Odessa to Romania, further to Bulgaria, and then through the Bosphorus to the Mediterranean Sea. Earlier, similar messages appeared in the Turkish media.
