By 11 am, the Moscow Exchange index added another 9.4% and exceeded 2700 points.
The RTS index, meanwhile, is losing almost 5%, reaching 890 points.
On Thursday morning, trading resumed in shares of 33 companies, including Gazprom, Sberbank and Rosneft. Trading will last until 2 pm Moscow time, short selling is prohibited.
The fastest growing shares are Novatek, PhosAgro, LUKOIL, Norilsk Nickel and Tatneft, whose shares have risen in price by more than 20%. The shares of Aeroflot, Transneft, FGC UES, VTB and MTS continue to fall.
The dollar fell another 2 rubles, reaching 95.8 rubles, the euro lost almost three rubles and is now trading at 105.3 rubles.
