The updated list of anti-Russian sanctions published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan includes the head of VEB.RF, Igor Shuvalov, as well as members of his family, the main owner of Severstal, Alexey Mordashov, and the family of the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Nikolay Patrushev.

Sanctions also affected the chief executive officer of Rosneft Igor Sechin, the wife and children of the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov, and the head of Rostec Sergey Chemezov was also subject to sanctions.

In total, 25 people and 81 Russian enterprises and companies have been added to the list, including shipbuilding and car factories, enterprises producing electronic equipment.

Also, the country's authorities announced a ban on the export of luxury goods to Russia.

Recall that the Japanese government earlier announced sanctions against Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as against Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Geramsimov, Patrushev. Japan was included by the Russian authorities in the list of unfriendly countries. Hirokazu Matsuno, Secretary General of the Government of the country, replied to this that Moscow's decision was "regrettable".
