US lawmakers urge Biden to expand arms supplies to Kiev

A group of US lawmakers has written to President Joe Biden, urging him to expand arms supplies to Ukraine, including long-range surface-to-air missiles, fighter jets and anti-ship missiles.
CNN has seen the document, which indicates that Washington also needs to provide Kiev with more Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, Javelin anti-tank systems and long-range drones.
The lawmakers say their request is based on the wishes of Ukrainian officials who addressed Congress last week. There are marked 17 areas in which "Ukraine needs additional assistance".
