According to the GTS Operator of Ukraine (OGTSU), today the pumping of Russian gas through Ukraine will increase by 18% compared to the weekend. The volume of transit was reduced on April 8, which may be due to warming in Europe.

Despite today's increase, gas deliveries through Ukraine remain below those stipulated in the contract.

“As of April 11, applications for pumping gas through the Sudzha and Sokhranovka stations from Russia amount to 94.9 million cubic meters. This is about 18% more than the volume of applications on April 9 or 10. At the same time, this is still less than the maximum obligations of Gazprom to Ukraine under the transit contract, which amount to about 109.6 million cubic meters per day (40 billion cubic meters per year)”, - RIA Novosti notes.

Since April 8, Gazprom has also not reserved the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline through which gas is transited through Poland to Germany. Since April 7, the units have been operating in reverse mode - gas is supplied from Germany, and not vice versa.

As the source notes, the Nord Stream gas pipeline remains the main route for the transit of Russian gas to Europe. According to the pipeline operator Nord Stream AG, the pipeline's workload remained at the same level - 170 million cubic meters per day.
