The student council of the institute asks Rosobrnadzor to look into the situation.

Konstantin Raikin, artistic director of the Higher School of Performing Arts (Konstantin Raikin Theater School), has been removed from his post, the Theater magazine reports . The order to this effect was signed by Anatoly Polyankin, rector of the Higher School of Economics. Earlier, on March 24, Polyankin signed an order stating that the institute was suspending its activities, and on April 1, students and teachers were not allowed into the building.

The Student Council released a press statement today stating:

“From today, our school, by order of the rector Anatoly Polyankin, remains without an artistic director, who has been Konstantin Raikin since the founding of the School. We consider this decision unacceptable and contrary to the interests of the students. We call on Rosobrnadzor to pay attention to this situation and prevent the destruction of a unique educational institution.”

The Student Council also quotes the students of Konstantin Raikin in their statement. Here is what the famous actress Anna Chipovskaya says about this situation:

“Today, Polyankin fired Konstantin Arkadyevich from the post of artistic director of the school. I understand that it is impossible to fire a true artistic director. He was, is and will remain an authority, a teacher, a moral tuning fork, he was, is and will remain a person for whom people are ready to follow and for whom they enter the Higher School of Economics.”
