The department indicated that the country has created “a collection of human rotavirus strains adapted to a transplantable cell culture line and the possibility of developing an inactivated vaccine preparation has been shown.” This favorably distinguishes the drug from a foreign analogue in terms of "safety and immunogenic activity". The development and production of a Russian vaccine is important both for import substitution and for export abroad.

It should be noted that the World Health Organization declares the need to introduce vaccinations against rotavirus infection in children in national calendars. It is this infection that occupies a leading place among diarrheal diseases in children. Currently, RotaTek and Rotarix are used for vaccination - both of these drugs are of foreign development.
