According to the regulator, this approach does not guarantee high-quality repairs, since such spare parts are not certified.
"In fact, every detail needs an examination. Under these conditions, it will be impossible to provide high-quality repairs", - the Central Bank told TASS.
The press service added that repairs under such a scheme could lead to an increase in the number of accidents on the roads.
It's worth reminding that earlier the Russian Union of Motor Insurers sent its proposals to the Central Bank to change the rules for car repair under OSAGO. Among other changes, it was proposed to allow cars to be repaired using used parts. It was proposed to allow their use not in all cases, but only if there are interruptions in the supply of these spare parts on the market. Those parts, the secondary use of which is prohibited, were not proposed to be used.
The union explained that now, due to sanctions, there are failures in the supply of spare parts. In this regard, insurance companies have already encountered difficulties with the implementation of repairs within the time limits stipulated by law. The union proposes to temporarily increase the repair period from 30 days to 60 days, as well as introduce a moratorium on fines for late repairs.
