As Novye Izvestia has already reported, Huawei, the largest Chinese manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, has already closed in its AppGallery store access to mobile applications of Russian banks that fell under Western sanctions - VTB, Otkritie and Promsvyazbank, which previously fell under EU and US sanctions. The fact is that this company itself has been under US sanctions since 2019, since Washington is sure that its products threaten the national security of the United States.
Now Huawei is trying to avoid further imposition and secondary sanctions, and therefore suspends some operations in Russia and sends Russian employees of its offices on a month-long vacation, according to the South China Morning Post .
Meanwhile, most Chinese companies continue their activities in Russia after the start of the military conflict with Ukraine, the newspaper notes and points out that Beijing avoids criticizing Moscow in connection with these events.
