“The main thing is to liberate Ukraine from these nationalist battalions after all”, - Kommersant quoted Peskov as saying.

According to Peskov, there is a chance for a speedy return to civilian life where "nationalist battalions do not take civilians hostage".

The Kremlin spokesman noted that where the national battalions "shoot social facilities, houses", there are fierce battles, "and there they are all subject to destruction".

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that along with helping the Donbass and protecting the interests of the Russian Federation, the special operation in Ukraine should end the course for US hegemony.

The special operation has been ongoing since February 24 on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who defined its goals as the “denazification” of Ukraine. Western countries have imposed unprecedented sanctions against the Russian Federation, affecting many world markets, including the food market.
