Andrey Guryanov, general director of the League of waste paper processors, told RBC that since the end of February, the demand for containerboard, which is used to pack bulky goods, has decreased by 25-30% (112-134 tons) per month.
According to him, dumping the market in order to attract new customers will only destroy the industry. Now producers are trying to keep prices at the February level - 51-68 thousand rubles per ton (excluding VAT).
The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that now a number of companies in the country are slowing down production. At the same time, none of the enterprises stopped working.
