According to Izvestia, Deputy Minister of Trade Oleg Bocharov sent a letter to Deputy Transport Minister Igor Chalik with a request that air carriers and service companies provide data on the range and quantity of required spare parts. Rosaviatsia, in turn, sent a request to specialized companies.
As Bocharov noted, at present the Russian aviation industry cannot provide maintenance and repair of foreign aircraft, since the Russian Federation does not have the competence in the manufacture of systems, components, parts and assembly units for this. He pointed out that it is necessary to collect data on the necessary spare parts to assess the possibility of their production in Russia.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade asked the companies to provide a specification for each specific spare part, indicating the type of aircraft and its operating conditions. According to sources, the publication, three air carriers confirmed that meetings on this topic are held regularly.
Earlier, the European Union announced sanctions against the Russian aviation industry. Now the country is not supplied with goods and technologies used in the aviation and space sectors.
