China has created a supersonic missile YJ-21 against aircraft carriers

According to TASS with reference to Chinese media, the missile has a range of 1,000 to 1,500 km and is capable of hitting an entire aircraft carrier strike group.

The Chinese authorities posted in the media footage of the launch of a new missile from aboard the largest missile destroyer of the PLA Navy project 055. At the same time, it is noted that the missile can be launched both from the sea and from the air. It is capable of being transported by Chinese strategic bombers H-6N, created on the basis of the Soviet Tu-16.

Experts believe that by publishing footage of its own hypersonic missile, China intends to demonstrate to the United States the ability to counter US warships in the Taiwan Strait zone.

In early April, it became known that the United States conducted a covert test of a hypersonic missile to prevent the escalation of bilateral dialogue with Russia.

We are talking about the launch of a HAWC hypersonic air missile launched from a B-52 bomber off the west coast. The projectile managed to overcome over 482 km at an altitude of more than 19.8 km. It is noted that at the lower limit of hypersonic range, such a flight takes less than five minutes.

This test was carried out after the Russian Federation used the "Kinzhal", disabling an ammunition depot in western Ukraine. The accurate and effective use of the Kinzhal hypersonic system during a special operation in Ukraine was a "slap in the face" for NATO, the Chinese edition of Sina said.
