“On April 21, a fire broke out in one of the rooms on the second floor of the administrative building of the scientific institution of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the city of Tver. The fire brigades of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are extinguishing the fire”, - the garrison command told reporters (quote from Interfax).

Emergency officials report that the fire is rapidly spreading across the floors of the building. Six fire brigades are engaged in extinguishing.

“According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was the emergency operation of the power grid, since the building and wiring are old”, - the source said.

According to the official version, 16 victims and one dead are known, but the publication published new information from its own sources, according to which about 30 people sought medical help, two people died and one was missing. Some of the victims inhaled smoke - there is a strong smoke. Others were injured during the evacuation - some employees descended from the building through the windows.

“Two people died, the fate of another one is being established, information is being verified that he also died. About 30 people were injured. In total, more than 30 people were evacuated from the building”, - an informed TASS source said .

Firefighting continues. There was a report of a partial collapse of the roof of a 4-storey building.
