Moscow authorities demanded from nightclubs to provide access to video cameras

As Kommersant writes, citing sources from among the managers of clubs and bars in the capital, the installation of cameras is supervised by the prefecture of the Central Administrative District. The management of the establishments is required to sign a letter of guarantee, which indicates the terms for installing the equipment. Another source told the publication that it is primarily about connecting cameras to the Unified Data Center at the entrance to the institution. To do this, the cameras must meet the technical parameters, so this cannot be done quickly.

A source familiar with the digitalization of the capital's economy noted that the possibility of connecting cameras of commercial organizations to the Unified Data Center has been discussed for a long time. Initially, the Moscow administration intended to ask state-owned companies to connect their cameras to a single system, and then offer commercial companies to connect. The project was developed during the pandemic, when it was launched as a pilot in city shopping centers.
