Avtotor plant in Kaliningrad supported employees providing them with vegetable gardens

The founder and head of Avtotor, Vladimir Shcherbakov, told Forbes that the plots were allocated from the territory of 300 hectares belonging to the plant in order to "somehow help people." These areas are prepared for sowing, in addition, the company will sell seed potatoes to employees for planting. The sites are located near Kaliningrad, near the settlements of Kholmogorovka and Lyublino. Areas were allocated by lottery.

Recall that BMW, whose cars were assembled at the Kaliningrad plant, left the Russian market. However, Avtotor announced the preservation of the staff. At the end of April, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, pointed out that at Avtotor "production is maintained, they are producing, it has simply decreased."

Now the divisions that are engaged in ensuring the operation of infrastructure and the production of electric vehicles are operating normally.
