The Prosecutor General's Office will check the suppliers who refused to cut prices

The Russian Prosecutor General's Office asked the Association of Retail Trade Companies (AKORT) for information about those suppliers who refused to cut prices despite the strengthening of the ruble.

According to Forbes, referring to a request to AKORT, the reason for the demand was the appeal of the Secretary of the General Council of the "United Russia" party Andrey Turchak, who said that a number of suppliers did not reduce prices even after the rapid growth of the steering wheel after the February sharp fall.

Now AKORT will have to send data to the prosecutor's office, including the "Name of companies and their location."

As the head of AKORT Igor Karaev pointed out, there are cases of overstatement on such grounds. Reduced prices only a few and "completely not in the proportion in which they raised."

Recall that in March, food suppliers proposed to retailers to introduce a moratorium on fines for underdelivery of goods for a year, as well as reduce the time for agreeing on price changes and deferring payments from 40 to 15 days.
