On the night of May 7, a tragedy happened: in the village of Skovorodynivka (formerly Pan-Ivanivka) in the Kharkov region, the museum of the great philosopher Grigory Skovoroda (1722-1794) burned down from a shell hit.

This news is doubly sad, since at the end of 2022 it will be 300 years since the birth of Grigory Skovoroda. Here is what political scientist Andrey Okara writes about this in his blog:

“...It was in this village that he died and was buried, it was there that the legendary auto-epitaph was written over his grave. According to the consensus opinion, adopted in the circle of researchers of Russian religious philosophy, it is the Ukrainian Neoplatonist philosopher Skovoroda who is the founder, the "starting point" for Russian religious philosophy of the 19th - early 19th century. 20th century It is from him that there is a direct line of succession to Pamfil Yurkevich, Vladimir Solovyov, Berdyayev, Fr. Sergius Bulgakov, Fr. Pavel Florensky and many others.

For all cultured people, for all philosophers and students of philosophy, everything that happened is a real disaster".
