Three people were detained in the case of fires in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, a criminal case has been initiated under the article on causing death by negligence. According to it, the foreman of the section of the Kazachinsky Distribution Zone (area of electrical networks) of the branch of PJSC RossetiSibir - Krasnoyarskenergo (taken under house arrest), the head of the Rybinsk Distribution Zone of the production department of the branch of PJSC RossetiSibir were detained.

The report also states that the cause of the fire was "a short circuit in electrical wiring and breaks in power lines." It is also indicated that the fires arose because of the fallen dry grass when the wind increased.

On Tuesday, May 10, it was known about 16 deaths in Siberia and the Urals due to fires. In addition, 730 residential buildings burned down. Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed introducing fire fighting targets for each region and the country as a whole.

On May 8, the head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Alexander Kozlov and the acting head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Chupriyan went to the Krasnoyarsk Territory to assess the situation on the spot and involve federal reserves in helping the authorities of the region.
