The head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky (pictured), was elected the new head of the LDPR faction in the lower house.

It's worth reminding that on April 6, at the age of 75, the head of the Liberal Democratic Party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, died. On the same day, Slutsky was appointed interim head of the faction. At that time, the faction took a timeout on all organizational decisions.
