They are afraid of this symbol, because the red flag of victory reminds them of the greatness of our people and our great victory. I think the time has come to recognize the Victory Banner as our national flag. It was under it that our grandfathers fought in the Great Patriotic War, and under it today our army is confronting neo-Nazis who have revived in Ukraine and skillfully hide their appearance in Western countries for many years", - RIA Novosti quotes the words of the parliamentarian.

Sheremet added that he was proud of the Russian tricolor, but now, at the stage of the country's current development, the Victory Banner as a symbol of a resurgent superpower is more relevant than ever.

Before that, Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov stated that from September 1, 2022, the national anthem will be played in schools on Mondays.
