In India, abnormal heat does not subside in any way - the air temperature reaches 50 degrees Celsius. At the end of April, satellites of the European Space Agency in the Ahmedabad region recorded a record temperature - over 60 degrees.

According to the portal nplus1.ru, which refers to The Hindustan Times, absolute temperature records for April were broken in India and neighboring Pakistan. In one of the cities of the state of Uttar Pradesh, thermometers reached 47.4 degrees Celsius, in the state of Madhya Pradesh - up to 45.9 degrees.

Interestingly, despite the increase in the intensity of heat waves, the number of deaths due to this people has been declining in recent years. And no one leaves these hot places.

But in India, according to Reuters, manufacturers of air conditioners are happy about the heat, which expect record sales this year. Although many of them complain about the delay in the supply of components for the assembly of air conditioners from China - the coronavirus pandemic broke out there and the Chinese are not up to Indian problems.

However, in New Delhi alone, more than 9 million air conditioners were sold in April. But there are many problems even without this - there is a shortage of electricity and water everywhere.

UN experts keep statistics on the so-called “climate refugees who are forced to leave their places of residence due to various natural disasters. Most of these people are in Asia: from 2010 to 2020, about 6.5 million people left their homes due to storms and floods.

In Africa, people leave their homes mainly due to droughts, in North America - due to wildfires. But these are rather immigrants who can then return home. It is difficult to call them fully climate refugees.
