Kherson region officials want to deploy there a Russian military base

He pointed out that at present the Russian army is protecting the region from the constant attempts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to launch rocket attacks on villages and cities.

- There should be a military base of the Russian Federation in the Kherson region. We will ask for this, and the entire population is interested in this. First of all, this is vital and will become the guarantor of the security of the region and its inhabitants. The Russian army has become the guarantor of peace and security in our region, RIA Novosti quoted Stremousov as saying.

Recall that Moscow has established control over the Kherson region since mid-March.

“Military-civilian administrations have been formed in the regions, broadcasting of Russian television channels and radio has begun, and trade relations with Crimea are being restored”, - Stremousov pointed out, referring to the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

Since May 1, the region switched to settlements from hryvnia to rubles. Civil-military administrations were formed in these regions, the broadcasting of Russian TV channels was restored, and trade ties with Crimea are being restored. At the same time, Stremousov said that the region would strive to become part of Russia.
