51% of Russians over the age of 60 do not use the Internet, calculated in the Foundation "Public Opinion". 41% of respondents in this age group used the worldwide web in the last 24 hours.

The total number of citizens who do not use the Internet is 21% , Interfax writes. The most active netizens are people between the ages of 18 and 45. Only 1% of Russians aged 18-30 do not go online at all. From 31 to 45 years old - 4%.

A sharp decline in Internet activity is observed in the group of Russians aged 46-60, 20% of whom do not use the Internet. 99% of respondents under 30 said that they went online during the day, this answer was given by 94% of citizens aged 31-45 and 73% of those aged 46 to 60.

It's worth reminding that, according to a survey by the NAFI analytical center, 77% of citizens consider it necessary to introduce a digital literacy course in schools, in which children would be taught safe behavior on the Internet. 11% of Russians opposed this initiative.
