This money is only a part of the total package of $4 billion, which the World Bank intended to transfer to Ukraine. With these funds, Kyiv must pay for the services of state and municipal employees, employees of the social sphere.
The project was funded by Britain, the Netherlands, Lithuania and Latvia, Italy and Denmark. The money was taken from also contributions to the Multilateral Trust Fund. The WB is still working with "donor countries" that are ready to provide another financial assistance to Ukraine.
Earlier, World Bank experts believed that the damage from a military special operation in Ukraine would be $60 billion. But Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky estimated at $600 billion Ukraine's financial needs needed to restore the economy and infrastructure.
