FOM: 85% of citizens consider themselves patriots

11% fell on those who do not consider themselves patriots (in 2006, 30% said so). 58% are sure that the majority of Russians are patriotic, 22% believe that half of the citizens in Russia are patriots. 65% of respondents believe that citizens who do not know the history of their country cannot be called patriots, 30% hold the opposite opinion.

At the beginning of last month, the FOM published the results of another poll, according to which 78% of Russians expressed confidence in the country's president, Vladimir Putin. Also, a third of Russian citizens feel pride in the country at the mention of the Great Patriotic War.
