Media: FSB detained Oleg Mitvol in the case of embezzlement of more than 900 million rubles

Ex-deputy head of Rosprirodnadzor and ex-prefect of the Northern Administrative District of Moscow, Oleg Mitvol, was detained at Vnukovo Airport while trying to fly to Dubai. The former official is involved in the case of embezzlement of more than 900 million rubles during the construction of the metro in Krasnoyarsk.

“Mitvol was detained by FSB officers on June 8 at Vnukovo airport while trying to fly to Dubai. After that, he was escorted to Krasnoyarsk, ” RBC reports , citing a law enforcement source.

According to the agency, the court sent the ex-official under arrest for a period of one month. The reason for the detention, according to the interlocutors of RBC, could be the theft by the ex-prefect of 900 million rubles, which were allocated to a design organization affiliated with him for the construction of a metro in Krasnoyarsk.

“Today they chose a measure of restraint - detention for one month and 17 days. He is suspected of embezzling more than 900 million rubles,” the TASS interlocutor said.

At the same time, Mitvol's assistant denied the information about his detention.
