Four people died in the collision of a boat and a barge in Chuvashia

The Volga prosecutor's office clarified that the people who were on the boat were killed. The circumstances of the incident and the identity of the victims are currently being investigated. Compliance with the legislation on safety of navigation is being checked.

The Investigative Committee indicated that the barge that the boat collided with was transporting gypsum. The boat was going across the ship's passage, trying to get around the barge in front, which is why it crashed into its bow.

It's worth reminding that in the fall of last year, a boat with six people on board washed up on the shore of the Long Slit Bay in the Barents Sea in the waters of the Varangian Gulf, one person died.
