As the deputy herself said on her page on the social network, she was given a warning because of her activity against the project of the northern alluvium - an artificial piece of land that is being created in the northwestern part of Vasilyevsky Island.
“They showed me a warning about the inadmissibility of violating the law on countering extremist activity. As I understood from the document provided to me, we are talking about tea parties and a children's drawing competition on the site of the destroyed beach, which have been taking place in the Vasileostrovsky district for more than two months, - Vavilina said, - the document contains an interesting wording that, according to information from law enforcement agencies, these events may be associated with extremist activities and lead to clashes with law enforcement agencies, as well as lead to riots. Fine?"
As Novye Izvestia previously reported, residents of Vasilevsky Island are actively opposed to the project of the LSR group to create an alluvial area. According to residents, the project harms the ecology of the Neva and the Gulf of Finland, and will also become an urban disaster for the Vasileostrovsky district, where the load on transport and social infrastructure will increase. Residents regularly gather at the work site, collect signatures in order to submit them to the presidential administration, and also filed a lawsuit against LSR demanding to provide documents for an independent environmental review.
