The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a law on the termination of the agreement with Russia on scientific and technical cooperation, said the head of the Ukrainian government in the Rada, Taras Melnychuk. The law was approved by 305 parliamentarians out of 450.

- The law proposes to terminate the Agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation on scientific and technical cooperation, made in the city of Moscow on August 27, 1996, - he wrote in his telegram channel.

The Ukrainian deputies also approved a bill “on withdrawal from the Agreement on the establishment of an Interstate reserve of biological products and other means of animal protection in the CIS member states, a draft law on withdrawal from the Agreement on the support and development of small businesses in the CIS member states.”

On June 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the introduction of a visa regime for Russian citizens.

Today, the Rada adopted a ban on Russian music and literature. Earlier, Ukrainian schoolchildren were deprived of the opportunity to study the works of Soviet and Russian authors. Alexander Pushkin, Leo Tolstoy, Mikhail Bulgakov and other authors were included in the "black list" of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education. Before that, the Ukrainians began to demolish monuments to Pushkin. There were also attempts by Ukrainians to "cancel" the music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky in the republic.
