Putin signed the law on the registration of children at the place of residence of parents

In the explanatory note, which, together with the text of the law, was published on the official portal of legal information, previously parents from Russian regions without maternity wards could not register a child at the place of residence. They were forced to register it, for example, in the regional center, where the mother was sent for the time of childbirth. Therefore, in a number of subjects, the birth rate was equal to zero or was less than the actual one, which distorted the statistics.

Recall that the day before, the head of state also signed a decree, which approves a new public holiday in the country - the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity. Now it will be officially celebrated on July 8th.
