“On June 27, the temperature record was broken in Pskov - the absolute maximum air temperature was +34.3 degrees. According to the Pskov Hydrometeorological Center, before that, the temperature maximum was recorded in 2020, when a temperature of +32.1 degrees was recorded that day, ”the press service of the government of the Pskov region said on its Telegram channel .

According to Interfax , the local hydrometeorological center reported that it had rained in the region with thunderstorms and heavy winds, after which dry weather would set in with temperatures up to + 31 ° C, which would last until July 3.

The Novgorod hydrometeorological center informed the agency about a new temperature maximum in Veliky Novgorod, where on June 27 the air temperature reached +32.3°C. The previous record held for almost 100 years: on the same day, June 27, 1926, the air in the city warmed up to +30.7°C. In the coming days, dry, hot and windless weather will continue in the region, and the thermometers can show up to +34°C.

The Kaliningrad Center for Hydrometeorology reported that June 27 was the hottest day since 1961. In Baltiysk, the air temperature reached +31°C, in Chernyakhovsk - +31.2°C.

The Komi Republic became the coldest subject of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District. On June 27, a temperature of +12°C was recorded here. Warming in the region is expected in early July. At the same time, the leading specialist of the Phobos weather center, Mikhail Leus , announced snowfall last night in the eastern part of the republic.

“The air temperature there dropped to +2 degrees. At the same time, it was +15 degrees in Syktyvkar, and +25 degrees in Kirov!” Leus said .
