Football Russia is discussing two news with might and main, and both are connected with the "people's team" - with Spartak. Firstly, its owner, Leonid Fedun, has retired from the post of vice president of Lukoil, but remained at Spartak. And secondly, the media reported that Roman Abramovich, or rather the Evraz steel company, the main shareholder of which is the ex-owner of Chelsea, could allegedly buy the team.
True, this information was not confirmed in Spartak itself, but it may well be reliable, given the fact that Abramovich sold the London Chelsea, and is now looking for a new point of application of forces.
Journalist Kirill Shulika notes that in this case, a woman will also actually lead the team (recall that Fedun's wife Zarema Salikhova plays the most active role in Spartak):
“If Fedun really sells Spartak to EVRAZ, then the club will belong to Abramovich. He has Marina Granovskaya (former sports director of Chellsea) out of work, that is, of course, there will be a woman in the club, but it will be different.
It's still weird football. If everything happens, Abramovich will not have CSKA, which was talked about a lot and for a long time because of the special relationship with Giner, but Spartak. In CSKA, after VEB and Maxim Oreshkin, there will be the House of the Russian Federation and Vitaly Mutko..."
Economist Nikita Krichevsky is surprised:
"What a twist! The option is realistic, since there will be a lot of goodies for Abramovich. We even imagine what kind of patriot Roma is, all the money goes to the house, and what a sensation it will be when Europe finally opens up for us.
P.S. By the way, the fears of many that Spartak may end up in the tenacious paws of Igor Ivanovich (Sechin) are groundless. Dependent on the RN, MKB, firstly, FC Torpedo has entered the big leagues, and secondly, the structure incurs big expenses for the construction of a miracle stadium.
Columnist Mikhail Borzykin rightly argues that under Fedun, despite all his love for Spartak, this team achieved little, unlike Abramovich's Chelsea, but at the same time he recalls that so far all this is just a rumor, and is perplexed Why does Abramovich need Spartak? Moreover, rumors about the sale of Spartak appear almost every three months ...
One of the best Russian football players of the last 30 years, former Spartak player Alexander Mostovoy spoke about the future of Leonid Fedun:
“It seems like an era is coming to an end. He has been at the club for many years, the age is no longer the one to take risks. We must live more calmly. This is expected. There is nothing terrible. He did a lot for Spartak, while a lot did not work out. In 19 years, the club has had few victories on the football field. With such opportunities, three trophies is a nightmare. I contacted the wrong football people".
But one of the best football players in the USSR, the goalkeeper of the national team and Spartak Anzor Kavazashvili hopes that Roman Abramovich is able to make Spartak the best football club in Russia:
“Spartak is having difficulties now, so it needs a good and intelligent owner who will put organizational issues at the highest level. Abramovich is able to make the best club in Russia out of Spartak..."
