Australia announces sanctions against 16 Russian officials and businessmen

The list also includes the Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities Irek Fayzullin, Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, President of the NPF Gazfond Yuri Shamalov, member of the Board of Directors of Sogaz Mikhail Klishin, Chairman of the Board of JSC Rosgeo Sergey Gorkov, co-founder of the company Kyiv area "God Nisanov, ex-president of AFK Sistema Yevgeny Novitsky, owner of the ESN group of companies Grigory Berezkin, president of the Mercury group of companies Igor Kesaev, businessmen Alexander Plekhov and Igor Putin, deputy chairman of the board of Sogaz Mikhail Putin, chairman of the board of directors of the group companies MRI Roman Putin.

In mid-May, the Australian government also expanded restrictive measures against Russia. Then the new sanctions affected Dmitry Kiselev, Director General of the Rossiya Segodnya MIA, Alexei Nikolov, Director General of RT, Alexander Chuprin, Acting Minister of Emergency Situations, and Sergei Korolev, First Deputy Director of the FSB. The last time Australia announced the expansion of sanctions against the Russian Federation on May 4. Then they touched 75 deputies of the State Duma. Also, 32 ministers of the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics fell under the sanctions.

Also at the end of April, Australia decided to provide military assistance to the Kiev regime. Six field towed howitzers with a caliber of 155 mm will soon be delivered to Ukraine on a special flight.
