Japan has banned the import of Russian gold

According to the website of the Japanese Ministry of Finance, Tokyo has frozen the assets of 57 individuals and six companies from Russia, including Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko, cellist Sergei Roldugin, family members of the head of the board of directors of Severstal Alexei Mordashov. The sanctions also include export restrictions on 65 Russian and 25 Belarusian companies.

Restrictive measures came into force today, July 5.

In total, 800 individuals not only from Russia, Belarus, the DPR and LPR, but about three hundred Russian companies and organizations fell under Japanese sanctions.

At the end of June, it became known that Tokyo was going to announce another package of restrictions on Moscow. Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov pointed out that due to Japan's hostile position towards Russia, relations between the countries are at the lowest possible level. At the beginning of the month, Tokyo announced a halt to exports of trucks, dump trucks and bulldozers to Russia.
