Vladimir Zelensky fired Ambassador to Berlin Andrey Melnik

Recall that Melnik called German Chancellor Olaf Scholz “an offended liverwurst” in response to his words about Zelensky’s refusal to receive German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Kiev. In an interview with a German journalist, Melnik compared Bandera to Robin Hood, after which the Polish Foreign Ministry accused him of falsification. To which the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that this was the personal position of the ambassador. The Israeli Embassy in Germany sharply criticized the ambassador.
